2022

Fall Ministries

Welcome to Fall 2022 at HBC

We are so excited about the upcoming fall opportunities at Heritage. Our prayer is that each class, program, or group that meets this fall will grow in a deeper knowledge of who Christ is, what He has done, and how we can live for Him among our community and the nations.

We also want to encourage each family to be intentional with their time and involvement. While we long to see families grow in their love and service of Jesus we also know that doesn’t always happen inside the walls of the church. Therefore, as you consider your involvement this fall – pray for wisdom, be intentional with your decisions, and commit to go deeper with Christ and His church.

Mission. Community. Engagement.

Are you ready for your next step at Heritage?

Our Mission

Heritage Baptist Church exists to make followers of Jesus Christ by living the Gospel life among the nations.

Join us on August 28 for special prayer-focused services dedicated to uniting our church family in the mission to make followers of Jesus.

MINISTRY HAPPENINGS

New Connections

We invite you to attend New Connections, our membership class. Taught by Pastor Nathan, New Connections will introduce you to the driving beliefs that define Heritage and what it means to be part of the community here. This is a 4-hour, 1-day class held in the chapel and is the first step in becoming a member.
Even if you have been a member for a while, we are encouraging everyone to come out to hear a fresh take on Heritage’s mission, beliefs, and values.
Registration is currently open for September 25, 2022, and November 6, 2022 classes.

Pathway of Family Discipleship

The Pathway of Family Discipleship provides an opportunity for parents to be equipped and encouraged in their role as parents.

Each milestone focuses on an important part of the parenting journey with the goal of helping parents to be the primary disciplers of their children. If you are wanting to grow in your understanding of scriptures instructions for parents as well as practical insights to implement in your life then consider stepping onto the pathway. Click the button below for details on the Milestones and how to register.

Disciple-Making Teams

Disciple-Making Teams are a 10-week training focused on glorifying God by developing healthy disciple-making rhythms in a community to catalyze long-term discipleship efforts in Lynchburg and among the nations.

10-week Disciple-Making Team meetings will begin during the week of September 11 and run through the week of November 13. There will be a light lunch and informational meeting after the second service on Sunday, August 28 (location TBD).

Young at Heart

Young at Heart is our senior adult ministry that seeks to empower seniors to embrace what God invites them to be and do for their joy in Jesus Christ.

Young at Heart hosts monthly gatherings along with other activities throughout the year. Click here to find out more about their activities and fall schedule.

Women’s Bible Study

Join us this fall as we study the “I Am” statements of Jesus. In the Gospel of John, Jesus uses the “I Am” statements to tell his listeners exactly who he is: the Bread of Life; the Light of the World; the Door; the Good Shepherd; the Resurrection and the Life; the Way, the Truth, and the Life; and the True Vine. This 9-week study will cover John 6-15 September 12 through November 7. Click the button below to see available dates and to register. The registration deadline is September 7.

Wednesday Evenings | 6:45-8:00pm

Wednesday Night Gathering

Join us in the chapel for a weekly time of prayer and study. Learn how you can pray for our missionaries while also being equipped to understand Christ and live for him each day.
