Welcome to Adventure Kids!

Most people who confess to know Christ as their Savior did so as a child. Therefore, we believe that children are a critical part of the church. We know that these precious children are ready to hear and experience Jesus Christ through the teaching of His Word and the kindness of our volunteers. We are so excited that you are considering joining Adventure Kids this Sunday.

Nursery (birth-24 months*)

Our nursery is a place where children from birth to 23 months come to enjoy the loving care of our wonderful volunteers. We desire to encourage parents by nurturing their children. The nursery uses a digital check-in system to help provide security for your child and convenience for you.

*The 2 years in the nursery include children who will be 2 after October 1st.

Preschool

We provide a variety of activities to our preschool children in order to begin building foundations for faith. During this special time of development, we engage the children with interactive Bible lessons, playtime, and snacks. The preschool uses a digital check-in system to help provide security for your child and convenience for you.

Elementary (1st - 6th Grade)

The elementary years are when many children make a profession of faith. Our desire is to stir their love of Christ through a greater understanding of Jesus and the Bible. This occurs through our Sunday School classes at 9am as well as Blast Zone (1st-4th grade) and Team 56 (5th-6th grade) at 10:30am. See details below.

We use a digital a check-in system for your families security and ease. Click HERE to check out the app.

If it’s your first time visiting, please stop by our Kids Welcome Desk in the main lobby when you arrive.

2. Locate Class

Adventure Kids classes are located in four areas.

Nursery – South America
Preschool – Africa
Elementary – Middle East (9:00am), Gym (1st – 4th Grade @ 10:30am), and Junior High Room (Team 56 @ 10:30am).

3. Enjoy Service

We know that leaving your child in a new place can be hard. We hope that our security measures help ease any concerns you may have.

Sunday Morning Ministries

Adventure Kids Jr.

Children in Adventure Kids Jr enjoy the loving care of our well-trained volunteers who take care of their needs while sharing the truth of Jesus.

Adventure Kids Jr. is available both hours and includes birth – kindergarten. Each Sunday features time to play and interact with other kids as well as an age-appropriate Bible curriculum.

Sunday School

During our 9:00am service we provide grade level Sunday School for elementary-aged children.

Each class is taught by one of our Adventure Kids leaders and is focused on helping each child understand the truth of God’s Word and its application to our lives.

Blast Zone

Blast Zone is a kids’ worship time for 1st-4th grade featuring live worship, teaching, and small groups.

Blast Zone meets on Sunday morning at 10:30am in the gym. New to Heritage? Stop by the information table in the gym to talk to one of our leaders about this exciting ministry.

Team 56

Team 56’s vision is to nurture a culture of love for Christ and his church in our 5th and 6th graders through community building, theological training, and spiritual development.

Some special events are community-building events and service projects. Team 56 meets at 10:30am in the Jr. High Room.

Wednesday Night Ministries

Nursery is available

Awana

Awana is a special kids program that encourages Scripture memorization, discussions about Jesus, and fun! Registration is required so that books and other items can be purchased.

Awana is available for 2-year-old preschool kids to those in the 6th grade. It meets Wednesdays at 6:45pm during the school year.

Global Kids (Summer)

Global Kids is an exciting, missions-focused ministry for kids, held Wednesday nights during the summer. Our kids in preschool and kindergarten will hear Bible stories about the nations and read stories celebrating other cultures and how Jesus loves them, and our 1st–5th graders will learn about different cultures around the world and how the good news of Jesus can be shared in these places today. Our 1st–5th graders will also be given opportunities to practice thinking beyond themselves as they learn the significance of the gospel for their own lives and its implications for those around them.

Rejoice WAM!

Rejoice Worship Arts Ministry is open to all HBC kids in grades 1-6. The ministry seeks to provide kids a way to foster their love of performance arts in an act of worship to Jesus Christ.
