Weekly Update – March 1

This is an exciting time to be serving in our body. God has blessed our church in so many ways over the years, and as we trust His character and see how He works, we can “expect great things from God and attempt great things for God!” We are eager to come alongside you and equip you to serve well, so please reach out to Pastor Dave, Zach, or Rebecca if you need anything!

DC Announcements:

1. We are so thankful for the 700+ members who showed up for the February 22 business meeting to vote on the proposed constitution, which passed with a 95% affirmation!

- - If you did not reaffirm during the business meeting, you can now reaffirm your membership online. This reaffirmation opportunity is available for 60 days and transfers your membership from the previous constitution to the new one.

2. 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World

- - Join us in 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World during the observance of Ramadan: February 18 – March 20.
  - Visit the Hub to access prayer guides and more information.

3. Men’s Event: Pursuit of Purity

- - Join the men of Heritage for a Sunday afternoon gathering as we continue talking about the pursuit of purity.
  - TODAY at 4 PM in the Chapel.
  - Continuing the discussion that Pastor Nathan began, will look to discuss gospel-based steps to pursuing purity.
  - Register on the Hub.

4. Due to the implementation of a foam ban in Virginia, we now have plastic cups for cold drinks only and insulated cups for hot drinks only. Thank you for your attention to this change!

We are providing you with this list so you can know who is available if you would like to have them speak in your community either in person or via Zoom. If so, please send an email to Leslie at leslie@hbclynchburg.com. In your email include the dates that you have open and would like for them to come, and also include details of what sharing would look like in your community. Be as specific as you can! This will be helpful for quick and easier communication back and forth. Thank you.
