new year of ministry

2023

Happy New Year!

We are so excited here at Heritage for a new year of ministry in 2023! Our mission at Heritage is to make followers of Jesus Christ by living the Gospel life among the nations and we strive to equip you with ministries, community, and resources to better live out that mission. This year, we look forward to reading through the Bible chronologically together, hosting Jerusalem Marketplace VBS, offering more ways for you to serve and connect, and much more! Please check out our upcoming ministries for 2023 highlighted on this page. We are thrilled to serve Christ together with you this year.

Let’s read through the Bible together chronologically in 2023!

It’s as simple as this:

  • Follow the daily reading plan which only takes about 12 minutes a day.
  • Identify your  “Glimpse of God” in the text you read each day.
  • Share your “Glimpse of God” by joining a Bible Reading Group!

Become a Member

Membership to a local church is crucial to our lives as Christians. God has created us, not as loners, but as a people united in Christ, so that He may be evident in our lives and community.

Therefore, we take membership seriously, and encourage all those interested in membership to attend our New Connections class where you will learn about HBC, our mission, and God’s desire for the church. This spring, classes will be offered February 5 and April 23.

Start Giving

We know that giving is a touchy subject. Money is important to everyone, because it’s necessary for daily life. Therefore, when we give we are demonstrating, through an act of worship, that we believe Jesus is enough and we trust Him with our finances.

This spring, we’re offering various ways to learn about good, biblical stewardship through Financial Planning Ministry, Financial Freedom, and Ramsey+.

Women’s Ministry

Women's Bible Study

This spring, our Women’s Bible Study will be going through The Pentateuch: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. This study will coincide with our churchwide initiative Together Through the Bible, a  chronological reading through God’s Word. Registration will open here on January 1, 2023.

Apples of Gold

This seven-week Bible-based program meets on Thursdays in a home and is an intergenerational connection helping to build up mothers, marriages, and lives through mentoring and cooking. You must be 35 years old or younger and be engaged, a single mom, or married ten years or less. Registration will open here on January 1, 2023.

Join us June 5-9 as we host Jerusalem Marketplace VBS! This VBS experience is focused on Christ. It follows the events of Passion Week over the course of a week to provide a meaningful learning experience about Jesus’ life for the kids. Our volunteer sign-up will open on March 5 and the kids sign-up will open April 2! If you have any questions or know you want to volunteer, please email us at kids@hbclynchburg.com.
