Student Ministries 411- November 8

Tomorrow night, we will continue our “Garrison” series (focused on the heart and mind) and will specifically look at the continual instruction in Proverbs 4 to “listen.” The central point this Wednesday: “Outside voices impact your heart and mind“. This lesson will specifically be focusing on who and what we listen to, aiming heavily at those voluntary relationships (friendships and dating relationships) that so shape what we think and believe. The call will be for us to guard our hearts and minds as we allow for outside voices to speak into our daily lives. 

 

Questions to consider during small group time:

• Where are friendships valuable? Where can friendships be harmful?
• What are the qualities of a godly relationship?
• How should you engage with someone your age who isn’t pointing you to Christ? How much involvement should you have with them?

Students and leaders, join us for this year’s Christmas party, “Holiday Havoc!” This event will be filled with a variety of fun activities, including a small group lip sync contest, a spoons tournament, a Christmas cookie competition, and a gift exchange!

If you plan to participate in the “Roll, Swap, and Steal” gift exchange or the cookie decorating competition, you will need to bring a gift that is $10 or less and you will need to make and decorate cookies prior to the party and bring them with you!
