There is no youth tomorrow night because of Thanksgiving break. We hope you have a sweet time with family and friends this Thanksgiving!

Students and leaders, join us for this year’s Youth Christmas party, “Classic Christmas” on Saturday, December 2 from 6-10 PM! The night will include a small group gingerbread building contest, a Christmas dinner together, a scavenger hunt game throughout the church, and a classic Christmas movie with hot chocolate and cookies!

Please read the following updates regarding our two Summer 2024 trips below:

DC Mission Trip

• Dates: July 10-15
• Cost: $700
• Only open to 11th-12th graders
• Required meetings- Youth DMT monthly meetings and a few specific training meetings closer to the trip
• During this trip, our group will serve alongside Global Gates (a ministry that works directly with unreached people groups in the DC area), receive training and guidance in sharing the Gospel with people from different religions, and will have opportunities to engage with unreached people groups throughout the week.

Local Mission Trip

• Dates: June 3-7
• Cost: $300
• Open to 7th-12th graders
• Required meetings- A few meetings throughout the year.
• During this trip, our group will serve together in the Lynchburg area in a variety of ways, including coming alongside ministries at Heritage, serving the church body, and partnering with some of our local outreach partners.

Next Steps and Important Info

• We are only opening up applications again to students who were planning on going on the Israel Trip OR 11th and 12th graders who were planning on going on the Local Trip. 
• For 9th-10th grade students planning on going on the Israel Trip, you are invited to apply for the Local Mission Trip!
• For 11th and 12th-grade students who were planning on going on the Israel Trip, you can now apply for the DC Trip and/or the Local Trip. 11th and 12th graders planning on going on the Local Trip, you can now also go on the DC Trip or switch to the DC Trip.
• Trivia Night will go towards helping with the cost for both trips!

We have our first Youth STMT Meeting on Sunday, December 3 from 12-2 PM in the Sr High room for both the Local Team and the DC Team! We will meet all together to go over Trivia Night details, the practice schedule and mission trip requirements for the year, and we will spend time in prayer for both trips! Lunch will be provided!
