Muddy Word Series

Tomorrow night, Dave Ashburn will be talking about the word “Purity.” We will look at what Scripture says about this word and how we can walk in purity. See you tomorrow night!

 

Weekend of Awesomeness- August 12-14- Deadline to Register is Tomorrow!

If you have registered already or are planning on registering, please make sure to fill out the 2022/2023 Medical and Media Release Form for this event for your students. This form is required for every student who desires to participate in any youth activity with Heritage Baptist Church.

This fun-filled weekend will be packed full of AWESOME events including capture the flag, a day in Charlotte, NC (District 57, NASCAR Speed Park, & Concord Mills), and a human scavenger hunt! Make sure to save the date and check out the details below!

-Friday, August 12 // Capture the Flag Night (5:45- 9:30 PM)
-Saturday, August 13 // Day in Charlotte, NC (District 57, NASCAR Speed Park, & Concord Mills) (5:30 AM- 10 PM)
-Sunday, August 14 // Scavenger Hunt (12- 4 PM)

Cost
-Student: $60 (Plus spending money for meals on Saturday)
-Leader: $30 (Plus spending money for meals on Saturday)
-OPTIONAL (Only for students 16 years old and up): Extreme Laser tag add-on while we are District 57 for $30 (If you are interested in this, please select it during registration to secure your spot. There are only 32 spots available.)

If you are unable to make one or more of the days during the Weekend of Awesomeness, please let us know and we will discuss what the options are for cost.

Parent Night Out- Tomorrow Night

Parents, save the date for Parent Night Out on August 10 from 6:45-8 PM in the Korea Room! This is an important meeting for all parents to attend and we will go over important information and updates for the year!

Youth Disciple Making Team Intro Meeting- August 28

11th and 12th graders, we want to invite you to consider joining our first-ever Youth Disciple Making Team this year! We will meet once a month over the course of a year and will focus on growing in our faith, developing tools to share the Gospel with unbelievers, and practicing living out our faith as a team. We are so excited to see how the Lord will work over the next year through this team!

Lunch will be provided for this meeting and we will share more about what being a part of a youth disciple-making team will look like this next year! We hope you will join us!

WOL Quiet Time Book Registration

Word of Life Club is a weekly discipleship program that includes a lesson, small group time, and encouragement in spiritual disciplines. WOL Club meets Wednesday night from 6:45-8 PM starting August 24. Please use this form to order your student’s WOL Quiet Time book.

Cost:
Student- $22
Parent- $22
Small Group Leader or Admin- $11

We have two types of quiet time books available for purchase. Please read the descriptions below and click on the attached link to access the inside of each book. 

Interactive Quiet Time– Recommended for 7th-8th grade students. Provides a more structured approach to quiet time and prayer by including guiding questions based on scripture.

Commentary Quiet Time–  Recommended for 9th-12th grade students. Gives students a daily Scripture reading and commentary, a place to journal what they learned from the passage, and a section to write personal application each day.

Youth STMT 2023- Tanzania

Senior High students, we are taking a Youth STMT team to Tanzania this summer! Check out the details for the trip below and prayerfully consider applying! 

Trip Details

  • Tentative Dates: Last two weeks in July
  • Estimated Cost: $3600
  • Ministry includes, but is not limited to, school ministry, VBS, building projects, and evangelism
  • Time Commitments to Consider: Multiple fundraisers, fall and spring practices, strict payment schedule
  • Payment Schedule: $100 deposit at the end of September, $500 due each month starting in October (except December), passports due in December
