Fall Ministries

Welcome to Fall 2025 at HBC

We are so excited about the upcoming fall opportunities at Heritage. Our prayer is that each class, program, or group that meets this fall will grow in a deeper knowledge of who Christ is, what He has done, and how we can live for Him among our community and the nations.

We also want to encourage each family to be intentional with their time and involvement. While we long to see families grow in their love and service of Jesus, we also know that doesn’t always happen inside the walls of the church. Therefore, as you consider your involvement this fall – pray for wisdom, be intentional with your decisions, and commit to go deeper with Christ and His church.

MINISTRY HAPPENINGS

Membership Class

Join us for our membership class, where Pastor Nathan will explain Heritage’s core beliefs and what it means to be part of our community. This five-hour class, with lunch provided, will take place in the chapel. It’s the first step to becoming a member, but even if you’ve been a member for a while, we encourage everyone to come and gain a fresh understanding of Heritage’s mission, beliefs, and values.
Click the date to register for  November 16 (childcare not available). Email Josiah at jdschrodt@hbclynchburg.com with any questions.

Young at Heart

Our senior adult ministry, Young at Heart, seeks to empower seniors to embrace what God invites them to be and do for their joy in Jesus Christ. Check out their webpage for details on their monthly gathering, day trips, and other events!

Men's Event

Join the men of Heritage for a Sunday afternoon gathering on October, 5 at 4 PM in the Chapel to worship together, hear stories from other men who follow Jesus, build authentic community, and learn about specific missional opportunities. There will be food, singing, and encouragement/challenge. The cost is $5/person. Sons are welcome! Click here to register.

L.Y.D.I.A.

L.Y.D.I.A., Living Your Days in Abundance, is a group for widows and senior single women who seek a deeper relationship with God, a meaningful relationship with each other, and an impactful relationship with the community. Click here for more details on meeting times!

Tech Help Needed

We’re looking for help in these areas:

  • Worship Center Screen Operator
  • Worship Center Camera Operator
  • BlastZone Tech Help (1 for audio, 1 for screens) Low pressure area!

A lot of people hear “Tech Team” and instantly disqualify themselves because they assume it’s too complicated. But for roles like the Screen Operator, it’s incredibly simple. Here’s the only “qualifications” needed:

  1. Can you read?
  2. Can you follow those words and click a mouse?

That’s it!

We’ve worked hard to make these positions very easy, and we never leave new folks alone. There’s always someone nearby to help if anything goes sideways.

Contact AVL@hbclynchburg.com for more information or to volunteer today!

Prayer Guide for Back to School

For this 2025/2026 school year, let us be a church that goes to God in prayer on behalf of our students, parents, and teachers. This new blog post will provide various passages of Scripture with prayer points focused on these individuals. Please take some time throughout the next month to pray for our church family in this new season. What a joy it is to bring one another before the Lord together.
