Youth Hangout Night!
Join us this Wednesday night during normal youth hours for Youth Hangout Night! As the name suggests, this is a night for leaders and teens to spend time together, have fun, and make memories. We will have games inside and outside, free snacks, and $2 Italian Sodas! We hope to see you there!

Welcome Baby Girls!
It is with great joy to announce that over the last couple of weeks the Lord has gifted the Pendleton’s and Huggins’ each with healthy baby girls. We praise the Lord that both moms and babies are doing well and adjusting to new family rhythms. We celebrate alongside these two families, and ask on their behalf prayers as each family parents their daughter!
On a practical note, at this time both Syri and Elizabeth will be out of office, thus mostly off of emails. If you have a matter that requires more immediate help, please feel free to message Pastor Nathan Fox at ndfox@hbclynchburg.com. Thank you for your patience with our team as we welcome these new additions, and for encouraging Ryan/Elizabeth and Syri/Sara as they walk together into the good work the Lord has given them in parenting these precious daughters.Â

May Book Recommendation
One of my favorite practical theologians, Paul David Tripp, wrote this book at the turn of the century. Though over 25 years old, it’s timeless in its wisdom and practical insights as Tripp examines the heart of our words, or to say it a different way: our words reflect our heart.Â
We say and type thousands of words on the daily, and know the power of words. Words can build up or tear down. Words can inform or mislead. Words can give life or take it. Our God, who speaks and communicates through His Word, has gifted us with language and capacity to communicate with one another. The question then becomes: what do our words communicate about the state of our heart, and what are the effects of the words spilling out of our mouths?Â
I love Tripp’s book because it addresses these kinds of questions, and calls us to the better Word (Jesus) and how one speaks in light of being a follower of Him. This book has been a personal challenge and blessing to me over the years, and the Lord has used it to remind me and reshape me moment by moment. May the Lord be so kind to use this book in a similar way in your life, and may our people be marked as a people in whole devotion to Him, even and especially in the way we speak with one another!Â
