We believe that the Biblical mandate given to the Church by Christ is world evangelization. The role of Heritage in this great worldwide ministry is to help in effectively equipping missionaries for life and ministry, and then to send them out with sufficient resources and encouragement for their task. We are committed to developing significant, loving, and accountable relationships with our missionaries, both for them personally and for their ministry.

Our overall missions strategy is based upon six component strategies that combine to form a tightly integrated whole with the objective of reaching the unreached peoples of the world. At Heritage, we have sought to utilize the advantages and minimize the disadvantages of both the denominational-based and the independent faith-based systems of sending missionaries.

Healing Hearts Vietnam is a non-profit humanitarian ministry of Heritage Baptist Church. Its mission is to show the love of Jesus Christ by providing assistance to needy Vietnamese families—making life-saving cardiac surgeries available to those who could not otherwise afford it.

We currently have 16 missionary families who are members of our congregation sent out by Heritage. We also support 13 more families sent by other churches.

We have developed the MDP to prepare and send members of Heritage Baptist Church to the mission field. The MDP is a proactive process that is customized to meet specific needs, backgrounds, and personalities of candidates. There are three training stages in the MDP.
Please note: For consideration to become a sent missionary of HBC, one must have been a full member for at least 4 years. The first step for any HBC attender is to schedule an appointment with Pastor Allen.

As a church, it is our responsibility to care for and meet the needs of missionaries we have sent out. In order to do this well, Sending Teams were created to allow church members to be directly involved in this role by connecting, praying, and ministering to HBC sent missionaries.

Just as HBC is proactive in our approach to missions, we are also proactive in our approach to Short Term Missions Trips (STMTs). We place a high priority on the coordination of our STMTs so that they will strengthen the field ministry where God has already led HBC to partner with missionaries.

With 7 billion people now living on earth, what can churches do to most effectively reach them with the gospel? The Leading a World Missions Church (LAWMC) seminar is designed to help the local church do what we’ve been commissioned to do, strategically and significantly.

Thank you to all who took part in Missions Conference! We would love to hear your feedback about the new format and what you enjoyed most. Your feedback is important to us as we begin planning for the 2018 Missions Conference. Please take a moment to fill out a short survey by clicking here.
