The foundation for a dynamic spiritual life begins with time spent in the Word. Women’s Bible Study provides an opportunity to strengthen your personal walk as you dig deeply into the Scriptures. During small group time, you will get to know other women as you discuss the lesson together and spend time in prayer. Why not invest two hours each Tuesday morning or evening in an in-depth study of the Bible? It could change your life.

-Join us Sunday, August 27, at 6:00 pm in the Gym for a time of worship and to hear Jenny Bowers speak on "Biblical Community."  Come at 5:15 for a coffee bar and fellowship!

Of all the Life Training Electives presented on Wednesday evenings, there at least one that is exclusively for women. Through topical studies, Scriptural applications, and personal illustrations, you’ll receive encouragement for the tough times and hope to face the future. We’ve all been there; let’s learn from one another.

  1. APPLES OF GOLD
This is an eight-week nurturing program for younger women based on Proverbs 25:11. The primary purpose is for (6) older godly women to nurture (6) younger women in the Word of God, encouraging them to obey it. The second purpose is the practical application, learning cooking; relational; homemaking; and hospitality skills. Relationships are formed as these women seek to obey the Lord and experience His peace and joy in their lives. The fall 2017 semester will be in the evenings on Thursdays, September 14-November 9. 2. WATERMARK
This is a mentoring group for HBC attending young ladies who are seeking godly teaching, encouragement, and friendship with older women; similar to Apples of Gold but geared for college aged and college schedule. The mentoring group will meet during the fall and spring school semesters starting in September. If you are interested, please click here to apply. 3. TASTE OF MINISTRY
This is a nine-week nurturing program for women whose husbands are headed into full-time ministry. It is based on the book You Can Still Wear Cute Shoes by Lisa McKay. The primary purpose is for (6) older godly women to nurture (6) younger women in the Word of God, encouraging them to obey it. The second purpose is practical application directed toward preparing these young ladies for future ministry alongside their husbands either as missionaries, pastors or church leadership. Each of the older mentors has experienced ministry as they served alongside their husbands and offer a great deal of advice, practical wisdom regarding pitfalls, obstacles, challenges, etc. that will help prepare you for ministry. Relationships are formed as these women seek to obey the Lord and experience His peace and joy in their lives. We will meet again spring 2018.
